NAHAN (Sirmaur): RSS has completed 100 years of its journey, marked by dedicated efforts towards social harmony, environmental awareness, Swadeshi, civic responsibilities, and Kutumb Prabodhan, said Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh Akhil Bharatiya Sah Prachar Pramukh Pradeep Joshi ji while addressing a Pramukh Jan Sangoshti at the Mata Padmavati Private Nursing College auditorium in Nahan, Sirmaur. The programme commenced with Vande Mataram.

He elaborated on how Bharat is steadily progressing towards becoming a Vishwaguru by uniting sajjan shakti and moving towards Param Vaibhav.

Recalling that RSS founder Dr Keshav Baliram Hedgewar initiated the organisation on Vijayadashami in 1925 with the vision of building a strong and independent nation, he emphasised that disciplined, patriotic, and socially committed individuals are continuously being nurtured through daily shakhas. The Sangh’s work, he said, is focused on organising, strengthening, and empowering Hindu society.

He further noted that the RSS has a dual focus on individual character-building and nation-building, which are essential to society’s overall development. He stressed that social organisation, collective efforts, and inclusive participation are crucial for national progress. The Sangh is committed to eliminating all forms of discrimination and functions not merely as an organisation but as a national movement and a way of life for its volunteers.

Highlighting Bharat’s rising stature on the global stage, he said that Bharat today stands among the leading nations and is guiding the world on lifestyle and values, with many countries looking to Bharat for direction.

During the interactive session, participants raised questions about social, economic, and political issues; service activities; current national and global scenarios; education policy; cultural values; and women’s participation in the Sangh. These were addressed comprehensively by Pradeep Joshi.

He informed that more than one lakh service activities are currently being carried out across the country, with shakhas, meetings, and Sangh mandalis functioning at over one lakh locations. RSS volunteers are actively contributing across various fields and working in close coordination with society.

The seminar was attended by retired army personnel, administrative officers, academicians from colleges and universities, trade body representatives, artists, sportspersons, public representatives, office-bearers of various organisations, and saints from different parts of Sirmaur district.

Among those present were Vibhag Sanghchalak, Zila Sanghchalak Chandramohan Ji, Nahan Nagar Sanghchalak Raghuveer Ji, Prant Prachar Pramukh Pratap Samyal Ji, Jagdeep Tomar Ji, Renuka Ji, Khand Sanghchalak Shri Nand Lal Ji, along with hundreds of distinguished citizens, intellectuals, and RSS swayamsevaks. The programme concluded with the National Anthem.
