To make quality education accessible to everyone, the Government of India has launched the PM e-Vidya App, a comprehensive platform providing free educational content around the clock. It is designed to bridge the digital divide and empower learners across regions. The PM e-Vidya App is a one-stop solution for students, parents, and teachers alike. The app brings together a range of national digital learning initiatives under one umbrella and allows every student, regardless of their location or economic background, to access study materials in their preferred language.

Breaking language barriers in education, the PM e-Vidya App offers study materials in more than 30 Indian languages. Whether a student studies in Hindi, Tamil, Bengali, or Manipuri, they can now learn concepts in their native tongue. This multilingual approach ensures inclusivity, helping students from rural and remote areas better understand lessons and learn at their own pace.

अब 24×7 पढ़ाई का पूरा Access वो भी बिलकुल Free!

One of the most innovative features of the PM e-Vidya initiative is the availability of 200 dedicated DTH TV channels for live classroom sessions. Each channel caters to a specific class or subject, ensuring continuous learning opportunities even in areas with limited internet access. Students can tune in from their televisions to watch expert teachers deliver interactive lessons aligned with the NCERT syllabus.

With this facility, education is no longer confined to school hours or classrooms. It is available 24×7, right in every home.

To reach learners without internet or television access, the initiative also includes radio-based programs for students from Classes 1 to 12. Through community radio, All India Radio (AIR), and podcasts, students can listen to curriculum-based lessons, stories, and discussions designed to make learning engaging and effective. This feature ensures that no learner is left behind in the digital revolution.

Comprehensive Digital Resources: DIKSHA, SWAYAM, and More

The PM e-Vidya App integrates multiple digital learning platforms in one place:

  • DIKSHA (Digital Infrastructure for Knowledge Sharing): Provides e-content, interactive lessons, and teacher training resources.
  • SWAYAM: Offers free online courses designed by experts from top institutions like IITs and NITs.
  • National e-Library: Gives access to thousands of e-books, journals, and study materials across subjects.
  • e-Jaadui Pitara: A digital treasure box for primary learners with stories, rhymes, and interactive learning modules.

Students can easily explore these platforms through the app, making learning flexible and enjoyable.

The PM e-Vidya initiative aligns with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, which emphasises digital and inclusive education. By merging technology with traditional learning, the app ensures continuous learning opportunities even beyond the school environment.
