Mirzapur: A case has emerged in Uttar Pradesh’s Mirzapur district involving allegations that Muslim gym trainers targeted young Hindu women, allegedly coercing them into religious conversion. The issue came to light after two women filed complaints, prompting action by the Mirzapur Police, who sealed three gyms and arrested two men identified as Mohammad Sheikh Ali Alam and Faisal Khan.

According to Additional Superintendent of Police (City) Ritesh Singh, the complainants approached Kotwali Dehat Police Station separately, alleging that the accused, who worked as gym trainers, initially befriended them before trapping them. The women claimed that private photos and videos were taken and later used to blackmail and pressure them into converting to Islam.

The police registered a case and, on January 20, arrested Mohammad Sheikh Ali Alam, a resident of Natwan Millat Nagar, and Faisal Khan, a resident of Gosai Talab, under the Kotwali City police station area. Based on interrogation and digital evidence, two other individuals, Zaheer and Shadab, were also detained for questioning. According to the police, all those arrested or detained were associated with various gyms and were allegedly part of an organised network involved in targeting women.

Police stated that Zaheer owns the KGN-1 gym and has also been linked to KGN-2, KGN-3, and Iron Fire gyms. The complainants reportedly attended KGN gyms, where they first came into contact with the accused individuals. Authorities have sealed all four gyms linked to the case, and further investigation is currently ongoing.
