ITANAGAR: The Ruling BJP-led NDA demonstrates a stunning victory in the Gram Panchayat and District Council elections in Arunachal Pradesh. The ruling party’s win of over 97 per cent of seats reflects the people of Arunachal Pradesh’s faith in the state’s rapid development under the double-engine BJP government. Terming the resounding win as a faith of people in good governance, PM Modi said,

“The people of Arunachal Pradesh show unwavering support for the politics of good governance!

I thank the people of Arunachal Pradesh for the affection they have shown towards the BJP. This strengthens our resolve to keep working for the state’s transformation.

I appreciate the BJP Karyakartas for working tirelessly among the people.”

Thanking the people of the state for their all-out support, CM Pema Khandu said, “Grateful to the people of Arunachal Pradesh for their overwhelming support and faith in the Bharatiya Janata Party.” He also thanked the dedicated party workers and leaders for the outstanding victory, “My heartfelt thanks to our dedicated party karyakartas at every level for their tireless efforts and commitment, which made this historic victory possible.

Together, under the leadership of the Party and the inspiring guidance of Hon Prime Minister  Narendra Modi ji, we will continue to work with renewed resolve for a stronger, prosperous and self-reliant Arunachal Pradesh.”

In the Gram Panchayat and District Council elections, whose results were counted on December 21, the BJP won 6085 GPM out of 8161 members, and the NDA overall won 7944 GPM seats, with counts to 97.3 per cent. On the other hand, in the ZPM elections, the BJP won 170 of 245 seats, and the NDA won 238 Zila Parishad (District Council) members, representing 97.1 per cent of the win rate. Congratulating CM Khandu and Arunachal Pradesh BJP DoNER minister Jyotiraditya Sindhia wrote in his X handle, “This resounding mandate reflects the deep confidence of the people of Arunachal Pradesh in the leadership of Hon’ble PM Shri @narendramodi ji and the NDA’s vision for a progressive state.

Our triple-engine government remains committed to building on the progress, expanding opportunities and enriching the quality of life already being shaped across the state.”

Terming the huge win in Arunachal Pradesh as a mandate for development, the BJP said, “Arunachal Pradesh votes for peace, progress & performance.

From district councils to gram panchayats, the mandate is clear — development wins, NDA leads.”
