World-Class Hospital in Ayodhya: Namo Cancer Foundation and Ram Mandir Trust join hands for a lifesaving mission

Inspired by Ratan Tata’s vision, a state-of-the-art cancer hospital is set to be established in Ayodhya through a collaboration between the Namo Cancer Foundation and the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust. It will be built on 6-8 acres of land near Surya Kund, and aims to provide affordable, world-class cancer care to patients from Ayodhya and surrounding regions

A modern, world-class cancer hospital is set to be established in Ramnagari Ayodhya under the leadership of the Namo Cancer Foundation, in collaboration with the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust. The facility will be developed on 6 to 8 acres of land, provided free of cost, and is expected to be completed within 24 months. Once operational, the hospital will offer advanced cancer treatment at affordable cost, reducing the need for patients from Ayodhya and nearby districts to travel to Lucknow, Delhi, or Mumbai for specialized care. The project represents a major step in Ayodhya’s evolution from a spiritual city to an emerging center of healthcare and public service.

As per the initial proposal, the hospital will be developed near Surya Kund, one of Ayodhya’s most revered heritage sites. It is proposed to be named after Raja Vimalendra Mohan Pratap Mishra, honoring his enduring contribution to public welfare and the city’s rich legacy.

King Yatindra Mishra of Ayodhya has extended his full support to the initiative, agreeing to provide 6-8 acres of land for the hospital’s construction. Describing it as a “historic initiative” for the city, he said the project would make advanced cancer treatment accessible within Ayodhya, benefiting residents who have long relied on major cities for specialized medical care.

Inspired by Ratan Tata’s Vision

Nripendra Mishra, Chairman of the Ram Mandir Construction Committee, said the idea for the project was inspired by the late industrialist Ratan Tata’s vision of making quality cancer treatment accessible across India. He noted that Tata envisioned a healthcare system where patients would not need to rely only on big cities for treatment, and this upcoming hospital in Ayodhya is a step toward realizing that humane and inclusive vision.

The hospital is envisioned to deliver advanced medical care while also serving as a benchmark for accessibility and public welfare. Mishra emphasised that the focus will be on making cancer treatment accessible to economically weaker sections, ensuring that quality healthcare is available to all.

The partnership between the Ram Mandir Trust and the Namo Cancer Foundation symbolises a union of faith, service, and life-saving healthcare. The initiative highlights Ayodhya’s emergence as a city that combines spiritual heritage with modern healthcare and social progress. The hospital is planned to be completed within 24 months, following which it will be opened in phases, providing cutting-edge cancer treatment and research facilities in the heart of Uttar Pradesh.
