A cafe in Jodhpur, Rajasthan, has recently come under intense scrutiny on social media following allegations of discriminatory behaviour. A video that has since gone viral shows a group of students, reportedly from IIT Jodhpur, engaging in a phone conversation with the cafe’s owner, during which they were allegedly denied entry based on being Indian.

In the clip, the students are heard questioning the policy, expressing shock as the individual on the other end of the line appears to confirm that the establishment only permits foreigners, explicitly stating that “Indians are not allowed.” Despite repeated inquiries from the students, the person on the call stands by the decision, calling it the cafe’s internal policy and refusing to offer further justification.

According to the viral post, the establishment in question is identified as Dylan’s Cafe, and the owner allegedly goes by the name Bhakhar Khan. The video quickly sparked widespread criticism online, with many users condemning the alleged racist policy. As of now, the café has not issued any official statement addressing the incident.

“An incident at Dylan’s Cafe in Jodhpur has stirred controversy after IIT Jodhpur students alleged they were denied entry by the cafe’s owner, Bhakhar Khan. The students claim they were told, ‘Only foreigners allowed, not Indians,’ leading to accusations of discrimination. The incident has been widely discussed on social media platforms like Instagram and Reddit, with many expressing outrage over the alleged behavior. As of now, there has been no official statement from Bhakhar Khan or Dylan’s Cafe addressing the allegations. The incident continues to be a topic of debate among social media users and the local community,” the post read.

The incident has triggered a wave of reactions online, with many users expressing frustration and disbelief.“Why even mention IIT? Isn’t being Indian enough to be allowed inside a café in our own country?” one user questioned. Another speculated that this kind of behaviour is unacceptable.” “This is just ridiculous, honestly,” added another user bluntly.“Feels like we’re back in British colonial times,‘No entry for Indians’ in India? You live here and still bar Indians from entering? Have some shame,” wrote one angry commenter. The reactions continue to flood in, reflecting a mix of anger, scepticism, and disbelief over the alleged discrimination.
