“Another Pro-Bharat wave among Gen Z: ABVP clean sweeps in Hyderabad Central University

The emphatic victory in the Hyderabad Central University (HCU) Students’ Union elections not only strengthens ABVP’s presence in southern universities but also signals a growing resonance of nationalist ideology among young voters in higher education institutions

Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) has delivered a historic and emphatic victory in the Hyderabad Central University (HCU) Students’ Union elections, sweeping all six posts after a gap of seven years. Following its resounding successes in Assam, Guwahati, Himachal, Patna, Punjab and Delhi University earlier this year, ABVP has once again affirmed the faith of Bharat’s student community by securing complete control of the prestigious HCU students’ union.

The winning panel includes:

  • President: Siva Palepu (PhD, Animal Biology)
  • Vice President: Debendra (PhD, Linguistics)
  • General Secretary: Shruti Priya (PhD, Economics)
  • Joint Secretary: Saurabh Shukla (MBA)
  • Cultural Secretary: Venus (IMA, Language Sciences)
  • Sports Secretary: Jwala (PhD, Hindi)

This sweeping mandate signifies the total rejection of the Left and NSUI forces on campus, despite the Congress being in power in Telangana. Students of HCU have turned away from those who once imagined the university as their fiefdom, exposing the falsehoods and negative propaganda that dominated academic spaces for years.

When the sentiments of the nation combine with student aspirations, student power becomes unstoppable. This historic result is a reflection of the tireless hard work of ABVP karyakartas, the effective strategy of the organisation’s skilled leadership, and—above all—the decisive role played by HCU’s students in shaping the future of the campus.

The mandate has shaken those who thrive on spreading anarchy, violence, and anti-national narratives. Today’s Gen Z students have once again proven that they reject hollow slogans and destructive politics, instead placing their trust in an organisation committed to academic excellence, cultural vibrancy, and nation-building.

This student verdict at Hyderabad Central University also delivers a powerful political message: it is a decisive blow to the relevance of the so-called young leaders who continually cry foul about “vote theft.” For them, this will prove to be the final nail in the coffin of their diminishing political prospects.

ABVP celebrates this historic victory with renewed determination to serve the academic and cultural life of Hyderabad Central University, ensuring that the spirit of “Students’ Power – Nation’s Power” guides every future endeavor.

ABVP’s National General Secretary Dr. Virendra Singh Solanki said, “This triumph demonstrates how student power can uproot the misleading narratives of leftist and self-serving groups who treat universities as their personal fiefdoms. This result is a testament to the relentless efforts of ABVP activists and the unwavering resolve of young students committed to national ideals. The sweeping mandate once again sends a clear message that Bharat’s Gen Z is progressive, constructive, and dedicated to nation-building, not chaos or anti-national agendas. After victories in Patna, Assam, Guwahati, Uttarakhand, Punjab and Delhi, Hyderabad University further cements the rise of nationalist ideology among students, leaving anti-national groups and self-proclaimed leaders with no room for political maneuvering.”
