Israel-Iran Conflict: Trump early exits G7, fueling regime change speculation in Tehran as Mossad targets Khamenei

US President Donald Trump’s sudden exit from the G7 summit in Canada has sparked global speculation of an imminent regime change in Iran. His remarks, coupled with Israel’s escalating offensive, Mossad’s covert operations, and reports that Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei may be a target, have sharply raised tensions in West Asia

The G7 summit, a gathering of the world’s leading industrialised nations, began in Canada amid heightened global tensions over the escalating Israel-Iran conflict. However, the spotlight quickly shifted when US President Donald Trump left the summit prematurely, citing pressing matters in Washington. The White House later clarified that the president had “more important things” to attend to back home.

French President Emmanuel Macron suggested on Saturday morning that Trump’s abrupt return was linked to a ceasefire initiative between Israel and Iran. He claimed the US president was taking the lead in negotiating a truce to de-escalate the growing hostilities in West Asia.

But Trump swiftly denied Macron’s remarks, stating that the French president was misinformed. In comments made onboard Air Force One and shared via his social media platform Truth Social, Trump dismissed the ceasefire narrative and hinted at a more significant development, while accusing Macron of making inaccurate assumptions.

The US president underlined that his decision to leave the G7 summit had nothing to do with the Israel-Iran ceasefire negotiations. Instead, he hinted at a much larger agenda without elaborating, sparking widespread speculation. The vague nature of his comments has fueled rumours in diplomatic circles that the United States may be preparing for more aggressive action against Iran, possibly including support for a regime change or even an assassination plot targeting Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

Adding to the intrigue, Trump told reporters aboard Air Force One that he was not seeking a ceasefire, but rather a complete dismantling of Iran’s nuclear ambitions. He made it clear that he did not expect Israel to slow down its offensive and warned that the United States would respond decisively if Iran posed any threat to American interests in the region.

The remarks and Trump’s unexpected departure from the summit have led analysts to believe that Washington may be gearing up for a dramatic shift in its Iran policy. With speculation mounting over covert operations and talk of a leadership decapitation strategy, the geopolitical stakes in West Asia appear to be reaching a new and dangerous high.
