GORAKHPUR: On Thursday, a grand exhibition named after the revered sant Mahant Avaidyanath was inaugurated at Devi Ahilyabai Nagar during the 70th National Convention of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP). The inauguration was done by the Chief Guest, Vice President of Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) and General Secretary of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra, Champat Rai ji, along with the Vice-Chancellor of Deen Dayal Upadhyay Gorakhpur University, Prof. Poonam Tandon.

The exhibition prominently displays the contributions of Mahant Avaidyanath to India’s freedom struggle and the Ram Temple movement, along with the invaluable role of the Maharana Pratap Shiksha Parishad, established by him in 1932 in Gorakhpur for the revival of the Indian education system. Additionally, the exhibition features archives related to the Indian freedom movement, showcasing the victory stories of freedom fighters and the exemplary governance model established by Lokmata Ahilyabai Holkar. The rich Indian culture and festivals are also depicted through various artworks displayed at the exhibition. This grand ABVP exhibition is divided into seven sections with 14 galleries, featuring a total of 274 artworks.

During the inauguration of the exhibition, the International Vice President of VHP and General Secretary of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra, Champat Rai ji, said that ABVP’s National Conference exemplifies the unity of the nation. While the world focuses on discussing only their rights, ABVP is working to instill a sense of duty among the youth across educational campuses in the country. Indian youth have provided crucial direction to the nation. The work done by Swami Vivekananda, Devi Ahilyabai Holkar, and Deen Dayal Upadhyay during their youth for the awakening of society is truly exemplary. I had the privilege of working with Mahant Avaidyanath, and his thoughts on national unity deeply influenced me. This is the second time I’ve had the opportunity to attend ABVP’s National Conference, and it brings me great joy.

ABVP’s National Vice President M. Nagalingam, National Secretary Buddhadev Bagh, Vice President of the Reception Committee Principal Pradeep Rao, Gorakhpur City President Dr. Vivek Shahi, and City Secretary Shubham Govind Rai were present during the event.
