NEW DELHI: The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) candidates for the Delhi University Students’ Union (DUSU) elections, including the presidential candidate Rishabh Chaudhary, the vice-presidential candidate Bhanu Pratap Singh, the secretary candidate Mitravinda Karnwal, and the joint secretary candidate Aman Kapasia, engaged in extensive campaign activities in various hostels. The candidates visited Rajiv Gandhi Women’s Hostel, Gwyer Hall, Mansarovar Hostel, PG Men’s Hostel, Meghdoot, and other accommodations, where they interacted with the students, discussed key issues, and sought their support for the upcoming elections.

The ABVP panel focused on several pressing issues raised by the students during the interactions. These included improving campus infrastructure, enhancing hostel facilities, and ensuring a more efficient and transparent examination process. The candidates also emphasized the need for skill-oriented courses, streamlined grievance redressal systems, and increased scholarships for marginalized students, especially in SC, ST, and OBC categories. Women’s safety and hostel allocation for postgraduates were other critical points of discussion. ABVP promised to address these concerns with a detailed roadmap for future initiatives.

Highlighting ABVP’s consistent efforts, the candidates reiterated their commitment to the holistic development of the students. They pointed out their previous successes, such as the introduction of U-Special buses and the approval for new women’s hostels, and assured the student body that ABVP would continue working tirelessly to improve campus life, provide greater employment opportunities, and ensure a safe and supportive academic environment at Delhi University.
