Imphal: In startling news, it has been revealed that over 900 Kuki terrorists were in Manipur, breaking into the state from Myanmar. According to intelligence reports, these terrorists may be preparing many strikes in the state that has been ravaged by violence. On September 20, Kuldiep Singh, the security advisor to the Chief Minister of Manipur, reported that some 900 skilled Kuki terrorists had infiltrated from Myanmar. Speaking to the media on 20th September, Singh stated that the police are taking this worrying development very seriously and taking the required safety precautions to fend off any threats.
Singh made these remarks in reaction to recent intelligence reports that alluded to a planned, organised attack for September 28. He declared that in order to address these serious security concerns, a meeting of the Strategic Operation Group (SOG) was called for September 18. The meeting will be attended by high ranking officials from the Army, Assam Rifles, and CRPF, among other security organisations. Manipur’s security forces have increased their readiness in reaction to intelligence reports that indicate possible militant bloodshed in outlying communities. On September 20, Kuldiep Singh, the security advisor for Manipur, stated that “a number of steps” had been taken by the security forces to address the danger.
Singh stated at a press conference that over the previous three to four days, there may have been militant movement, according to intelligence data. He issued a warning, saying that assaults might occur on September 28 at any time. “The government suggested sharing such vital intelligence input with other security forces including the army”, Singh said.
He said that the police force is taking this concerning development very seriously and taking preventative action to deal with any possible threats. Singh continued, “The government thought it prudent that the efforts being taken to counter any such attacks must be shared.” Concerns over a concerted attack scheduled for September 28 based on intelligence inputs were also addressed by the Security Advisor.

Police are monitoring places where terrorists might have access to weapons and explosives is necessary, he said, especially in the midst of major construction projects. Singh stated that sophisticated anti-drone devices and jammers have been used in reaction to the escalating hostilities, jamming between 15 and 17 drones. Seven IEDs, or improvised explosive devices, have also been found in susceptible areas as a result of security operations.
Singh also referred to the assertions made by the previous director general of Assam Rifles PC Nair that drones were not used in the most recent bombings as “his understanding and his problem.” The security adviser also refutes the ex DG Nair’s statement and said that legal action will be taken if complaints are filed against him.
