Senior RSS Pracharak and Akhil Bhartiya Karyakarini Sadasya Indresh Kumar on September 8 said there should be “no man lynching and no cow lynching” in the country to ensure people from different faiths live together in peace.
While talking to media in Bihar he said, “In many parts of the country and the world, people eat meat. But we must recognise that people are sensitive about cows. So, we should strive to create an environment in which there is no ‘cow lynching’ and ‘no man lynching’. We should celebrate unity in diversity in the country.”
He was on a visit to Bihar to launch a programme on Ganesh Chaturthi in the Madhepuar district under International Cultural Organisation.
When asked about his opinion on Caste census, Indresh Kumar said, “What Mohan ji (RSS Sarsanghchalak) has said is an opinion which will be followed by all swayamsevaks of the RSS”.
Indresh Kumar who is also a patron of the ‘Pancham Dham Nyas,’ said that the Bihar chapter of the International Cultural Organisation has launched a programme from Madhepura district on Ganesh Chaturthi, which will conclude on Maha Shivaratri in 2025.
“This statewide programme is aimed at creating a society that is free from riots and caste-based discrimination and is characterised by compassion for the poor. The programme was launched at Singheswar Mahadev Sthan in Madhepura district and will cover 108 Shiv temples across the state,” he said.
“In the final phase, a grand fortnight-long ‘Pancham Dham Maha Mrityunjay Yagna’ will be held in Patna, commencing on February 12, coinciding with Sant Ravidas’s birth anniversary and concluding on February 26 when Maha Shivaratri will be celebrated next year,” he said.
