A startling incidence of child sexual abuse has surfaced in the Narsinghpur district of Madhya Pradesh. After being sexually assaulted by Maulvi Imam Khan for approximately one and a half years, a fifteen-year-old kid ingested poison. Upon admission to the hospital, the young victim’s life was saved. Three more accused, one of whom is allegedly an AAP leader, are allegedly supporting the Maulvi and pressuring the victim’s mother to drop the case or change her statement. The minor victim lives in the Stationganj area, while Maulvi, the accused, resides in Murgakheda, Narsinghpur, Madhya Pradesh.

According to reports, the minor victim was introduced to the Maulvi by her brother-in-law approximately one and a half years ago. Following this, Maulvi began visiting her home to impart religious knowledge. He once took advantage of the girl sexually under the pretext of marriage. Later on, he declined to marry her. The youngster was allegedly sexually molested by the Maulvi for one and a half years. When the victim disclosed everything to her mother in April 2024, her mother went to the police to file a complaint. Allegedly, the police did not take any action on this matter.

Following this, Maulvi and his three associates began intimidating the victim’s mother to drop her case. The other three accused aiding Maulvi are scrap dealer Banne Khan from Narsinghpur, Aam Aadmi Party leader Jamil from Murgakheda, and Naeem Khan, President of Jama Masjid Narsinghpur. Allegedly, they pressured the woman to alter her statement against Maulvi Imam Khan.

On May 20, 2024, the victim’s mother reported to the police that Kabbadi Banne Khan and Naeem called her to their residence. They applied pressure, urging her to withdraw the case. They threatened that if she did not comply, they would harm or even kill the minor victim. Additionally, they made threats of carrying out an acid attack on the minor.

When she returned home, her daughter asked why she was crying, and she explained everything that had happened. Terrified by the threats, the minor attempted suicide by drinking poison at her grandfather’s grave in the cemetery at Naktua. Her family rushed her to the hospital where doctors managed to save her life. She was discharged from the hospital when the victim’s health condition improved.

Later, she and her mother went to the Superintendent of Police’s office and filed a complaint against Maulvi and his associates. As the issue gained momentum, Superintendent of Police Amit Kumar ordered action against the accused. An FIR has been filed against them, and the police have arrested Maulvi in connection with the case. However, the other three accused have not been apprehended yet.
