Congress Councillor Niranjan Hiremath has rebuked his own Congress party and has said that despite openly naming eight people who are involved in the murder of his daughter Neha, no action has been taken. He has called for a CBI probe in the brutal killing of his daughter, Neha, by Fayaz
Speaking to news agency ANI, Niranjan Hiremath said that time was running out and he was disappointed that no concrete action was being taken to nab the culprits. Hiremath, said, “I am losing faith now. They are trying to divert my case.” He went on to demand a thorough investigation by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), alleging that the current commissioner is not taking his daughter’s murder seriously and is possibly influenced by external pressures. Hiremath called for the commissioner’s transfer for negligence in handling the case and reiterated his plea for a CBI inquiry.
Tragedy struck the KLE Technological University in Karnataka as Neha Hiremath, a 21-year-old first-year MCA student and the daughter of Hubballi Dharwad Municipal Corporation (HDMC) councillor and Congress leader Niranjan Hiremath, was brutally stabbed to death on Thursday, April 18, in her neck. The perpetrator of this heinous act was identified as her classmate Fayaz, a resident of Savadatti in Belagavi district.
According to the police, CCTV footage captured the chilling moment when Fayaz mercilessly stabbed Neha multiple times before fleeing the scene. The motive behind the attack was revealed to be Fayaz’s persistent harassment of Neha, despite her repeated rejections of his advances.
