Tragedy struck the KLE Technological University in Karnataka as Neha Hiremath, a 21-year-old first-year MCA student and the daughter of Hubballi Dharwad Municipal Corporation (HDMC) councillor and Congress leader Niranjan Hiremath, was brutally stabbed to death on Thursday, April 18, in her neck. The perpetrator of this heinous act was identified as her classmate Fayaz, a resident of Savadatti in Belagavi district.

According to the police, CCTV footage captured the chilling moment when Fayaz mercilessly stabbed Neha multiple times before fleeing the scene. The motive behind the attack was revealed to be Fayaz’s persistent harassment of Neha, despite her repeated rejections of his advances.
