Chhattisgarh: Congress leader commits suicide in Ambikapur

In a fateful incident reported from Sarguja of Chhattisgarh a local Congress leader died by committing suicide at his residence on December 13

In a shocking incident reported from Chhattisgarh, a senior leader of the Congress party, Suresh Agarwal, committed suicide at his residence on Wednesday, December 13, according to the reports. It has been reported that he committed suicide at his residence located at Basant Lal Marg in Ambikapur on Wednesday morning.

According to the reports, Agarwal’s body was found hanging from a ceiling fan in the basement of his house.
The news of the demise of the Congress leader took the locality by storm following which people started gathering at his residence. Learning about the incident former minister in the Bhupesh Baghel government, Amarjit Bhagat also rushed to Agarwal’s house.

Agarwal a member of the Chhattisgarh food and consumer forum was considered close to former minister of scheme food and culture, Amarjit Bhagat.

As of now the police is investigating the matter and no suicide note has been recovered from his residence. The deceased body has been sent for an autopsy and forensic examination, more details in the case are awaited.
