During the conversation, Prem Anand Maharaj emphasised the spiritual aspect of serving the nation. He expressed that through meditation and devotional practices, one can purify the minds of millions. He acknowledged the transformative power of a single bhajan, capable of uplifting masses. According to Maharaj, engaging in spiritual practices, conquering the senses, and dedicating oneself to national service are crucial for the well-being of the country.

Role of spiritual education in national development

In the dialogue, while RSS Sarsanghchalak Dr Mohan Bhagwat discussed the multifaceted role of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) in shaping the destiny of the nation, Maharaj  asserted that the younger generation, nurtured with spiritual values, becomes the backbone of the nation. Some of them may become political leaders, holding positions like MLAs, MPs, Chief Ministers, and even the Prime Minister. He stressed the need for education that goes beyond material prosperity, addressing the intellectual and spiritual aspects of individuals.

Challenges faced by the youth – Observations by Prem Anand Maharaj

Prem Anand Maharaj shared his concerns about the declining intellectual and spiritual standards in society. He noted the prevalence of vices like immorality, addiction, and violent tendencies among the youth. Expressing his dismay, he remarked that merely providing material comforts does not lead to true happiness. Maharaj emphasised the urgency to uplift the intellectual and moral fabric of society.

Maintaining optimism amid challenges – Words of encouragement

During the conversation, Dr Bhagwat expressed, “You hear from people, and we also speak. However, the concern is that we are all continuing to act, you are also doing so, and discussions are increasing. We will make efforts; there will never be despair because living is for this, and death is also a part of it. But what will happen, this worry comes to the mind, in my mind, and in everyone’s mind.”

Responding to this, Prem Anand Maharaj stated, “The answer to this is straightforward – do we not have trust in Bhagwan Krishna? We need to grasp what special thing we have to hold on to. Do we lack faith in Bhagwan  Krishna? If trust is firm, then that will be what is called ‘param mangalmay’ – ultimate auspiciousness. It will be supremely auspicious. No steps backward. We know our spiritual strength. No steps backward… We know our essence; therefore, we should not fear what will happen. The three types of divine plays are happening – creation, sustenance, and dissolution… At the time, as the order will be, we are His servants, and we will do just that. What will happen… it will be what Bhagwan Krishna has ordained. No doubt now. Just as Bhagwan Krishna has prepared His people. Another one will also be prepared similarly, who will handle it with great strength. You do not have to worry about what will happen. Bhagwan Krishna is with us; it will be what is auspicious.”

He emphasised that our nation is a divine entity, and by connecting with the divine, one can contribute positively to its progress.

Leaders inspired by spiritual values, guide the nation to prosperity

Prem Anand Maharaj emphasised the synthesis of spiritual practices, resolutions, and speech in the service of society and the nation. He encouraged individuals to maintain purity in thought, word, and deed. Maharaj expressed his hope that leaders like Mohan Bhagwat, inspired by spiritual values, would continue to guide the nation toward prosperity and righteousness.

A call to spiritual action – Inspiring a spiritual renaissance
