On July 31, the Vishwa Hindu Parishad organised Brij Mandal Jalabhishek Religious Yatra in Mewat, Haryana. However, the peaceful rally was attacked by Islamists, who pelted stones, vandalised public property, and set vehicles ablaze, leaving several injured. The visuals coming from the town are highly disturbing.

After dispersing the violent mob, the district administration is taking the situation under control. As per the latest orders, internet services in the Nuh will remain suspended till August 2 whereas the district will be under curfew, as per section 144 till August 8.

It is noteworthy that, Islamists attacked the Shobha Yatra approximately two kilometres from Nalhar Mahadev Temple.
