Mewat Violence: Islamists on rampage, attack VHP’s Shobha yatra

Haryana’s Mewat was marred by violence after the Muslim mob pelted stones on Brij Mandal Jalabhishek Religious Mewat Yatra. Vehicles too were torched by the Islamists

Violent clashes erupted in Mewat after a large number of Islamists pelted stones and attacked Brij Mandal Jalabhishek Religious Mewat Yatra. The incident took place approximately two kilometres from Nalhar Mahadev Temple. According to the reports in the media, members of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad also retaliated by pelting stones.

Apart from stone pelting by the Islamists, they also vandalised the property and vehicles were also set on fire.

Haryana Police swings into action

With an aim to bring the situation under control, Haryana police swiftly swung into action and dispersed the crowd . Also they have stepped up security and increased vigilance. The police have stated that stringent action will be taken against the culprits.

Yatra Route of VHP

Meanwhile, earlier, the VHP had released its Yatra route, “Brajmandal (Mewat) Jalabhishek Yatra under the auspices of Vishva Hindu Parishad’s Yuva Shakti Bajrang Dal, starting from Nalhad Mahadev Temple at 10:00 am today, July 31, 2023, will end at Shringar Temple, Punhana.”
