Jorhat: Love jihad net spread from Agra to Jorhat in Assam busted. A Muslim man from Agra in Uttar Pradesh poses as a Hindu man and traps a Hindu girl from Jorhat in fake love. As per the report Raja Khan, a resident of Agra city, talked to a girl in Assam through a wrong number call four months ago. Crook Raja Khan introduced himself as Raj Mishra from Delhi. Raja Khan alias Raja Mishra started talking with the girl regularly. But he never disclosed his original identity. They talked for some time, and finally, Raja Khan proposed to the Hindu girl from Jorhat. As per the report, the girl agreed to his proposal, thinking of him as Raj Mishra.

Raja Khan told the girl that he was a Hindu Brahmin man and wanted to marry her as the girl also belonged to the Brahmin community. As per the version of the people close to the girl, he wanted the girl to get married and go to Delhi after marriage. But the girl asked him to do the social formalities and asked him to come and meet her family in Jorhat.

In the meantime, the family of the girl enquired about the man based on his mobile number. The family was shocked when they found that Raj Mishra was actually Raja Khan and his SIM was registered in that name. The girl asked for his identity documents which he refused to give. Raja Khan travelled to Jorhat on June 20 and told the girl that he was lodging in a hotel and asked the girl to meet him. But the girl refused to meet him, and Raja Khan reached her home in Ramakrishna Nagar in Jorhat City on June 21.

Raja Khan threatened the parents of the girl to let her marry him. Otherwise, he will make her pictures viral on social media. Raja Khan even threatened to commit suicide in front of their house if he was not allowed to marry her. But the crook had some other plans too. Raja Khan contacted a senior reporter of Jorhat Pradi Bora and said that he is a Hindu boy from Delhi, and he has an affair with a girl and the family of the girl is not allowed to get them married.

Crook Raja Khan wanted to put pressure on the girl’s family through the media. But senior reporter Pradip Bora didn’t take the allegation casually. He asked Raja Khan to provide his identity cards before helping him. In the meantime, journalist Pradip Bora informed the district SP about the development. Journalist Pradip Bora asked Raja Khan about his lodging, but he couldn’t provide a satisfactory answer.

Finally, another local reporter found that Raja Khan was staying in a local mosque and told the mosque authority that he had come in search of a job. Jorhat police immediately took action and took the man into custody. It was revealed in the initial investigation that Raj Mishra’s original name was Raja Khan, and he was trying to take the girl with him to Agra. He misled the girl with his Hindu name and fake address in Delhi.

Jorhat police registered a case on the basis of an FIR lodged by the parent of the victim girl. It should be mentioned that several girls in the State were rescued from red-light areas of different cities where the victims were trapped in love jihad and later sold in brothels. Assam police had recently rescued many girls from red-light areas of Mumbai, Kerala and some places of Haryana.
