Guwahati: The growing love jihad cases in Assam are creating huge social chaos in the state. Such a love jihad case has come to light in the Nagaon district of Assam, where a Muslim married man abducted a Hindu girl pretending himself as a Hindu Assamese boy. Father of three children, Rameezul Ul Islam acted himself as Munna Gogoi and caught a Hindu girl in a love trap.

Rameezul alias Munna Gogoi abducted the girl and took her to Kerala where he was working as a factory worker. Rameezul abducted her in January and took her to Kerala, but the girl and her family still didn’t know his original identity.

Back in Nagaon, Assam the family of the victim girl came to know that Munna Gogoi is actually Rameezul Islam of the Rupahihat area in the district. Meanwhile the girl called his family after almost two months at the end of February.

She told how brutally Rameezul tortured her in Kerala and raped her several times. She came to know about his Muslim identity in Kerala only. The Love Jihadi Rameezul took her to a Muslim colony in Kerala. All his friends and family members who works there as factory labour are Muslim and then only she came to know about his identity. When she protested, Ramizul and his family members started to torture her.

The victim girl’s family lodged a complaint in Nagaon police station on March 1st. A police team went to Kerala on March 4th from Nagaon. The team with the help of Kerala police, located Rameezul and arrested him.

The victim girl was also rescued. Nagaon police team produced Rameezul Islam in a local court in Kerala. But he tried to flee from police custody by jumping from the terrace of the court. He was admitted to a local hospital. Nagaon police team brought Rameezul to Assam in a transit remand on March 11th.

He was produced in the court and sent to police custody for 4 days. Police said that fraud Rameezul Islam has several social media accounts in facebook, instagram as Munna Gogoi. He identifies as an Assamese Ahom boy and traps several Hindu girls in fake love. The man is married and has three children in his native village in Rupahihat area of the district.

Police suspect that Rameezul has trapped several Hindu girls with his fake Hindu identity. He mainly operates from Kerala. Many unfolded story of the dangerous love jihad game will come in to light once the fraud Rameezul is interrogated by Nagaon police in custody. Meanwhile, the victim girl is getting medical treatment and mental counselling in Nagaon.
