While Delhi is shaken from the gruesome murder of a minor Hindu girl, the alleged murderer Sahil Sarfaraz has confessed to committing the crime in a fit of rage and that he has no regrets. On May 28 evening, the 20-year-old Sahil stabbed the 16-year-old Sakshi more than 20 times before crushing her with a rock, while witnesses walking across ignored them.

Sahil, an AC and refrigerator repairman, was arrested from Uttar Pradesh’s Bulandshahar. He has been sent to police custody. The accused attacked the girl as she entered the house from the street and repeatedly stabbed her. A senior police officer said, “Her body was found lying on the road in a pool of blood.”

It was reported that Sahil informed the police that Sakshi wanted to break up with him. He further said that she was involved with her ex-boyfriend. Sahil also called Sakshi’s ex-boyfriend a hooligan and claimed that he feared him. Sahil claimed that he and the victim dated for about three years, however, she ended the relationship. The police said, “He said he was enraged as the girl had been ignoring him for some time.” It was reported that Sahil was drunk when he attacked the minor victim.

The police officer said, “They were in a relationship, but yesterday they had a quarrel. The teen was planning to attend her friend Neetu’s son’s birthday. The boy followed her and stabbed her multiple times and hit her with stone.” Sakshi’s murder was recorded on CCTV and the footage has been circulating over social media.

The CCTV footage shows that Sahil pinned her to the wall, stabbed her more than 20 times and kicked her even when she went still. Thereafter, he picked up a rock and struck her multiple times and left the spot, the footage revealed. While the murder is gruesome, it is more appalling to see people pass them as if the gruesome murder was a normal affair, none tried to stop the accused from attacking Sakshi.

It was reported that Sakshi’s body lay on the street for about 25 minutes before police were called. She had 34 wounds on her body with a ruptured skull, the police said. The act was done with such ferocity that even the knife got stuck in the victim’s head at one point.

It is pertinent to note that the minor victim reportedly threatened to go to the police if Sahil did not stay away from her, she even used a toy pistol to scare him away.

Meanwhile, a complaint has been registered by the deceased’s father. The FIR is lodged under Section 302 of the IPC at the police station Shahabad. While acting on the complaint, the police arrested Sahil from Uttar Pradesh’s Bulandshahar city on Monday.

The victim’s parents have demanded the death penalty for Sahil. “We want the death penalty for him (Sahil). Life for life. The way my daughter is gone, he should also be gone,” the deceased mother said while speaking to ANI. “The way he brutally killed my daughter he should get the death penalty. I don’t want anything from anyone my only demand is that he (Sahil) should be punished,” the father of the 16-year-old girl who was killed by accused Sahil in Delhi’s Shahbad Dairy said. “I work as a labourer, and I have only two children, the first one was her and a small boy, I just want that he should be punished severely,” he said.

News agency ANI shared the victim’s parents’ statement with the caption, “My daughter was stabbed many times, her head was also bludgeoned into pieces. We demand stringent punishment for the accused,” says the Father of the 16-year-old minor girl. Also, “Never saw Sahil. We demand justice for our daughter,” the mother of the 16-year-old minor victim said.

Sahil Sarfaraz posed as Sunny

The accused and the minor victim were in a relationship; however, it has come to light that the accused Sahil posed as a Hindu Sunny to trap the minor girl and lure her into a relationship with him. Pictures of him wearing Kalawa and Rudraksha chains are going viral on social media.

It has been reported that ever since the victim found out about his true identity she started distancing herself and this triggered the accused who stabbed and butchered her to death. Sahil was upset over the victim’s decision to end their relationship. He was angry because the two had stopped talking to each other, which eventually led him to brutally attack and kill her, according to a preliminary probe.
