The Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam’s (DMK’s), Member of Parliament (MP) Senthil Kumar abused the supporters of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). He said people supporting BJP have no brains. He also said these BJP-ruled states are ‘Gau Mutra’ states for the DMK.

He also targeted Hindu gods and goddesses, for Bhagwan Krishna he said, Will any parent allow their child to steal the clothes of women bathing in the river, secretly enjoy watching them bathe, and then refuse to return their clothes? What do we call them when it’s happening right now? This is exactly what Lord Krishna did. If he does this now, he will be arrested for eve-teasing.

He made similar remarks for Bhagwan Ram as well, where he claimed that Ravana was more powerful than Bhagwan Ram. Talking about Mahabharata he said, “5 men marry a woman. We don’t know what kind of mindset they have”.

Kumar made these statements while speaking at a Dravidar Viduthalai Kazhaagam event titled “Ithu Tamil Nadu, Ilaya Thalaimuraiyin Maanila Yecharikai Maanadu” (This is Tamil Nadu, A Warning Meeting Of Young Generation).

Kumar also commented on the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) in this interview. He said, Shri Guruji Golwalkar said that Muslims, Christians, communists, atheists, and intellectuals are the enemies of RSS. The RSS was against Ambedkar who formulated the constitution of this country.

Kumar said, “RSS’s second rung leader Golwalkar said that Muslims, Christians, communists, atheists, and intellectuals are the enemies of RSS. RSS opposed the Indian constitution drafted by Ambedkar as they wanted to make India into a Hindu Rashtra. However, Ambedkar drafted a constitution based on liberty, equality, and fraternity, which is diametrically opposed to the RSS’s ideology.”

“The BJP, led by Narendra (Modi), has been actively working to oppress Christians, Muslims, and intellectuals while pursuing a Hindu Rashtra. We know what happened at JNU University. The ABVP attacked Tamil students and vandalized photographs of Periyar and Ambedkar. But we stood by them and made sure that a larger picture of Periyar was placed in the same location as before,” he added.

He further added, “ABVP rowdies don’t know how to win an argument, so they resort to violence. They also opposed wearing Pardah to establish Sanatana Dharma. The Justice Party, founded by Nair, Sir PT Thiyagarayar, and Natesanar, fought against the 3% community (Brahmins) who held 97% of government jobs. They brought the Non-Brahmin Manifesto, which served as the foundation for today’s reservation system. The Justice Party implemented reservation in government jobs for the first time in 1926. Prior to that, one community (Brahmins) held 95% of government jobs and education. However, after independence, the Madras High Court overturned the reservation law proposed by the Justice Party, which was later upheld by the Supreme Court. Periyar, however, did not stop there,”

“He staged numerous protests and, with the help of Kamarajar and Nehru, introduced the first constitutional amendment, which granted constitutional validity to the reservation system. Nehru initially agreed to reservations in government jobs. However, Periyar disagreed because the majority of those receiving education were from a single community (Brahmins), and thus reservation in jobs would not benefit other communities. Hence, he demanded reservation in jobs and education, which was granted, and the first constitutional amendment was passed,” added Kumar.

However, in a letter to Kamarajar, Nehru described Periyar as a “Criminal, Lunatic, Perverted Mind” who needed to be admitted to a lunatic asylum. DMK MP lied by saying that EVR was responsible for the first constitutional amendment.

Praising the Chief Minister MK Stalin he said, “It was our Chief Minister MK Stalin who was responsible for ensuring 27% reservation in all India quota for OBC in the medical counselling. We need reservation in all four pillars of democracy: the legislature, the executive, the judiciary, and the press. We have achieved legislative reservation. In terms of Tamil Nadu, we have achieved some level of executive reservation,”

Speaking about the North Indian states he said, “In North Indian states, a specific community (Brahmins) still holds 90% of the posts such as IPS, IAS, and other government positions. 80% of the owners of the press also belong to one particular community. We need to change this. The most important place where we need to have reservations is the Judiciary. It was Karunanidhi who made the first SC community Rathinavel Pandian as the supreme court judge. However, this is no longer the case. The majority of Supreme Court judges are from the upper castes. We should protest to ensure that a reservation system is in place in the judiciary.”

Calling the supporters of BJP as brainless people Kumar said, “Our Dravida Model government policies, such as free bus travel, 1000 rupees for women pursuing higher education, and 1000 rupees for women heads of families, among others, are centered on woman empowerment. These policies are possible only in Tamil Nadu. In those states where these policies cannot be implemented, we call them Gau Mutra states. It is these Gomiyam states which the BJP depends on. People in those states where BJP rule do not have brains,”

He added, “It was a victory for Periyar in abolishing caste names in people’s names in Tamil Nadu. We should not address anyone by their caste name. Mamata Banerjee should be addressed as Mamata, Chandrasekara Rao as Chandrasekar, Amit Shah as Amit, and Narendra Modi as Narendra. We should take Periyar beyond Tamil Nadu.”

Speaking about the Hindu gods and goddesses he said, “I would like to quote a few examples of rationalism here. Will any parent allow their child to steal the clothes of women bathing in the river, secretly enjoy watching them bathe, and then refuse to return their clothes? What do we call them when it’s happening right now? This is exactly what Lord Krishna did. If he does this now, he will be arrested for eve teasing,”

Kumar did not stop here as he also commented on Bhagwan Ram and Mata Sita saying, “In Ramayana, lord Rama constructed a bridge to the ocean and reached Sri Lanka to bring back Sita. But how did Raavana reach India? Did he build any bridges? No. So who is more powerful? It is Raavana who is more powerful than Rama.”

After Ramayana, he also commented on Mahabharata and said, “In Mahabharata, 5 men marry a woman. We don’t know what kind of mindset they have. They gambled by keeping that woman as a bet. When the online gambling bill was introduced, the Governor referred to it as a skill game. So, what kind of skill did those five people possess while betting on keeping their wife?”

Dharmapuri MP Senthil Kumar said, “Our leader Kolathur Mani invited me to deliver the welcome address. How will I deny this opportunity? We can talk without any compromises and limitations that we encounter in the stages of political parties. I never turn down an opportunity to speak on a stage where my ideology is suitable. During my election campaign, Kolathur Mani organized my first meeting in the Mettur area of Kolathur. Despite the fact that caste dominates in the Mettur area, I received a large number of votes there thanks to the efforts of Kolathur Mani and his organizations.”

He added, “I do not see any difference between Dravidar Viduthalai Kazhagam (DVK) and Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK). I am jealous when I look at the cadres of DVK. Though we are in politics to serve people, there is an element of selfishness in it. But I am surprised to see you working without participating in electoral politics and solely in spreading Periyar (EV Ramasamy)’s teaching. In this political environment, Sanatana forces are our biggest enemies. Sanatana forces are those that cannot be changed, such as caste, women’s oppression, Varnashrama Dharmam, and others. Certain practices in Sanatana Dharma, such as Sati, have been eradicated. However, we still have a lot of work to do with regard to the caste Varnashrama system.”
