Hindu Jan Aakrosh Morcha: Massive March in Mumbai against love Jihad, demand anti-conversion laws

In the wake of growing cases of love Jihad, Sakal Hindu Samaj held the Mumbai chapter of the Hindu Jan Aakrosh Morcha on January 29, 2023, and demanded law against conversion

Amid growing cases of conversion in the state, the Sakal Hindu Samaj, an umbrella body of Hindu organisations, held the Mumbai chapter of the Hindu Jan Aakrosh Morcha on January 29, 2022. The main motto of this rally was to demand laws against religious conversion and love jihad.

The event was attended by leaders of many organisations. According to an estimates, approximately 10,000 to 12,000 people participated in the rally. Notably, the Hindu Jan Aakrosh Morcha started with a massive rally in Parbhani district in the Marathwada region in November 2022.

Earlier, on January 22, 2023, Saffron caps, saffron flags, slogans of Jai Shri Ram, ‘Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Ki Jai’ and ‘Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj Ki Jai’ marked the unity of the entire Hindu society in Pune through a march titled ‘Hindu Jan Akrosh Morcha’. Thousands of Hindus participated in the march. Various political parties and organisations and people across the ages vehemently participation in the march.

The Sakal Hindu Samaj organised the march with the primary demand of declaring the sacrifice day of Dharmaveer Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj (Falgun Amavasya) as Dharmaveer Day and enacting strict laws against love jihad, conversions and cow slaughter.

Descendant of Chhatrapati Shivaji and MLA Shivendrasinh Raje Bhosale, a descendant of Sant Tukaram Maharaj Shivaji Maharaj. Moreover, Hindutva leader Dhananjay Desai and Telangana MLA Raja Singh alias Raja Bhaiya also had a prominent presence in the march.

The march was started by saluting Rajmata Jijau at Lal Mahal. Then after performing aarti at Dagdusheth Halwai Ganapati, it reached the statue of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj at Deccan Gymkhana. The march concluded with a public meeting.
