New Delhi:  Amid an apparent increase in the covid -19 cases, no second Covid-19 booster dose is required, said Government sources.

Earlier on December 27, the Union Government announced random testing the international passengers arriving at the airport for Covid- 19. Also, mandating the compulsory RT-PCR reports for all the International travellers.

As per the Government sources “First we have to complete the booster drive in the country”.

According to the Union Health Ministry Data, India’s active caseload currently stands upto 2,582, with 134 new cases recorded in the last 24 hours.

Notably, a total of 220.11 cr vaccine doses (95.13 cr Second Dose and 22.41 cr Precaution Dose) have been administered so far under Nationwide Vaccination Drive. (with further inputs from ANI)
