New Delhi: The Yogi Adityanath Government is keen to preserve the historical monuments and all Ramayana-era water bodies and mutts of Ayodhya.

More than 60 mutts, water bodies and temples have been identified by authorities after a detailed survey for the purpose.

The officials also enlisted services from local historians to collect details of Ramayan-era structures in the pilgrim city.

Sources said that the local Ayodhya administration is awaiting further directives from the State Government.

Sri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust has also identified 11 historic structures places inside the Ram Janmabhoomi campus, and architect-related works will be carried out to restore them in their original form.

Among these historical places are Sita Koop, Kuber Tila, Sita Rasoi and Nal, Neel, Angad and Sugreev Tila.

Sources said a Delhi-based architect, along with the team members, visited Ayodhya and surveyed historic water bodies and mutts.
