JNU signs MoU with Kerala media institute MAGCOM

New Delhi: Under the framework of NEP 2020 and with special focus on implementing collaborative skill-oriented education, JNU signed an MoU with Mahatma Gandhi College of Mass Communication (MAGCOM), Kozhikode, Kerala.

JNU VC Prof. Santishree D. Pandit, along with Prof. Rabindranath Manukonda, Chairperson, Centre for Media Studies, signed the MoU with Shri A K Anuraj, Director, Mahatma Gandhi College of Mass Communication, MAGCOM, Kozhikode, Kerala in the gracious presence of Shri Prafulla Ketkar, Editor, Organiser and faculty at MAGCOM, Prof. Kaushal Kumar, Dean, School of Social Sciences, JNU,  Dr. Shuchi Yadav, Associate Professor, Centre for Media Studies, JNU, Dr. Rita Sony, Assistant Professor, Centre for Studies in Science Policy, JNU and Dr N.R. Madhu, Editor, Kesari Weekly.

The collaboration currently is aimed at research and increased academic exchange of students, faculty and resources between MAGCOM and the Centre for Media Studies, JNU, in pursuit of creating an environment of holistic education where institutions can learn from each other’s strengths. The university is in the process of working out modalities of affiliation and strengthening partnerships for academic programs.

The MAGCOM is a noted upcoming communications studies institution. Based in Kozhikode, MAGCOM offers a handful of media courses that equip students to excell in the ever-growing media industry.

There are courses on various streams of media and communication studies. The job opportunities include that of journalists, PR executives, content writers, technical writers, corporate communicators, marketing communication experts, etc.
