After Allahabad High Court refused to quash FIR filed against him, Alt News Co-Founder and alleged fake news peddler Mohammed Zubair deleted his Facebook account.

Uttar Police booked Zubair for posting derogatory comments on Hindu seers, Mahant Bajrang Muni ‘Udasin’, Yati Narsinghanand and Swami Anand Swarup and calling them hatemongers.

Zubair often peddles fake news and posts derogatory comments on Hindu Gods on his social media accounts.

In June last year, Zubair circulated a muted video of one Abdul Samad Safi and claimed he was thrashed in Ghaziabad for not chanting Jai Shri Ram. Later, Uttar Pradesh Police revealed it was a personal fight, and he was thrashed by Parvesh Gurjar, Arif, Aadil, and Mushahid. Zubair deleted the tweet after Uttar Pradesh Police registered FIR against him in the case.

Earlier in October 2021, Zubair mocked Shivling with the Rome Church compound and wrote, “Has Vatika became Vatican? Christ came from Krishna? Is it all one big palgiarism by West?”

He also said the poster inspired him to start ‘Unofficial Subramanian Swamy’ Facebook post in 2014. He posted several derogatory posts on Hindu Gods and mocked Lord Shri Ram on several occasions on the page.

Last month, Zubair posted an 85-second video in which he twisted the comments of Nupur Sharma on Muhammad’s life. Nupur has been receiving death and rape threats after his video went viral.

Several Islamists took to the streets in India and wreaked havoc in the name of protest. Muslim mob pelted stones, vandalised public property, and raised anti-India slogans during the protest.

Zubair’s twisted video has led to the suspension of Nupur Sharma from the party. Later, the former spokesperson of the BJP apologised on social media for her comments on Muhammad, but that didn’t stop the Islamists from issuing threats.

AIMIM (Inquilab) leader Qavi Abbasi announced a bounty of 1 crore on Nupur Sharma. Reflecting the Taliban’s way of punishment, an effigy of Nupur Sharma was found hanging near a dargah in Karnataka’s Belagavi.
