Shri Krishana Janmabhoomi Case: Mathura court agrees to hear plea for videography of Shahi Idgah

Earlier, the Lucknow Bench of Allahabad High Court had directed the Mathura Court to dispose of all the matters related to Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi-Shahi Idgah Masjid dispute within four months.

Following the Gyanvapi Masjid survey in Varanasi, a local court in Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, has agreed to hear a similar petition, seeking videography of the Shahi Idgah Masjid adjacent to the Krishna Janmabhoomi. The petitioners including Manish Yadav, Mahendra Pratap Singh, and Dinesh Sharma have demanded a court commissioner’s appointment to conduct a video survey in the Shahi Idgah mosque complex in Mathura.

Hindu side’s claim on the mosque land:
According to the petition, the petitioners have claimed that the Shahi Idgah mosque was built after demolishing Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi. Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi is part of the temple which is spread over 13.37 acres of land. Petitioners are demanding removal of the mosque and return of the land for the temple. Earlier, the Lucknow Bench of Allahabad High Court had directed the Mathura Court to dispose of all the matters related to Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi-Shahi Idgah Masjid dispute within four months.

Speedy disposal of the matter:
For speedy disposal of cases of Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi and Shahi Idgah dispute in Mathura, the High Court also said that if Sunni Waqf Board and other parties do not attend the hearing or attempts are made to hang the matter, the court will act on it. can take In his petition, the petitioner had appealed for disposal of the matter at the earliest. So far nine cases have been registered in the Mathura court in the Sri Krishna Janmabhoomi and Shahi Idgah dispute case. The district judge has reserved the verdict on a petition.
