Kerala Model Crumbles: Kerala records 21,116 COVID cases, TPR at 16.15, 197 deaths

Kerala has recorded 21,116 new Covid cases and 197 COVID related deaths on Thursday (August 19), informed the health department through a press release. The death toll mounted to 19,246. The test positivity rate was climbed to 16.15 per cent.

 

A total of 1,30,768 samples were tested in the last 24 hours.

 

The district-wise statistics of positive cases: Malappuram-2824, Thrissur-2873, Kozhikode- 2401, Ernakulam-2527, Palakkad- 1948, Kollam- 1418, Alappuzha-11319, Kannur-1370, Thiruvananthapuram-955, Kottayam-925, Kasaragod-509, Wayanad-729, Pathanamthitta- 818 and Idukki-500
