In the presence of State legislative assembly speaker Biswajit Daimari, in charge Satradhikar Niranjan Boro and other dignitaries, Sarma also informed the management committee of Borongajuli Satra that the government would take pragmatic steps to protect and preserve the monastery along with its 33 divisions.
