Swayamsevaks are being deployed on the front for providing service to devotees at Maha Kumbh

Haridwar: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh Uttar Pradesh’s Sanghchalak Shri Surya Prakash Tonk said that not everyone gets a chance to serve Maa Ganga; Volunteers have now got an opportunity to do public service at the Maha Kumbh. Fortunately, they are doing their best. The fruit of this service is more fruitful than the Kumbh bath. Shri Surya Prakash Tonk was addressing the service resolution programme of volunteers going to the Kumbh Mela.

He said service to humanity comes naturally to Sangh. So far, on thousands of occasions; the Swayamsevaks of the Sangh have taken to the streets for social service in adverse conditions. But this is the first time that the Swayamsevaks are being deployed on the front for service under favourable conditions. In the Maha Kumbh, people from every section of the society from all over the country are coming here. “The Sangh has been trying to organise society for years. We do the work, and the devotees will see and feel and remember it throughout their lives,” said Shri Tonk. Every worker has to fulfill his duty towards the organisation. The uniform worn by the Swayamsevak has its dignity.

RSS Prant Pracharak of Uttarakhand Shri Yudhveer Singh said that the workers from village-to-city, city-to-city from all over the state had come here for social service without any ulterior motive. Each Swayamsevak is ready to volunteer for Kumbh service. Do not harm anyone by unruly behaviour. For this, all of us have to work with peace, restraint, discipline and follow every command of our officer. He said that the volunteers deployed in the system are for the cooperation of the police personnel deployed on the spot. Therefore, they should work only under the proper guidance of the high officials posted at the point.

Presiding over the programme, Peetadhishwar Mahant Mandas Maharaj of Balmiki Ashram said there is no greater religion than service. The Swayamsevaks of the Sangh are committed to social service without discrimination. It is only by serving the country, religion and society that the ultimate salvation is attained. Earlier, the field unionist administered a pledge to all the activists as a witness to Maa Ganga to serve society with full devotion during the Kumbh duty. Mahant Mandas Maharaj was honored at the event.
