Effect of nullification of Article 370 and 35A - Youth from across the country can apply for jobs at J&K High Court

For the first time since Independence, the youth of the country from other states can apply for jobs in Jammu and Kashmir. The golden opportunity has come after Jammu and Kashmir High Court notified about vacancies for 33 posts for which youth from across the country can apply, the Times Of India has reported. This is the first time since the nullification of Articles 370 and 35A in Jammu and Kashmir that applications have been sought from youth across the country for any recruitment.
 
The Jammu and Kashmir High Court has notified that there are vacancies for a total of 33 posts. These posts include that of Stenographer, Typist, Compositor, Electrician and Drivers. The notification has been issued by the Registrar General of High Court, Shri. Sanjay Dhar on 26 December 2019.
 
The eligibility for these posts have also been declared. The applicants should be a Graduate for the posts of Stenographer, Typists and Compositors, for that of a electrician should be a 12th pass. For the post of Drivers, they should be 8th pass and must have a valid driving license. The minimum age of the candidates is 18 years and maximum age is 40 years. Apart from this, relaxation in maximum age limit will be given to reserved candidates. The last date to apply for these posts is 31 January 2020.
