Mumbai: Akhil Bharatiya Karyakari Mandal (ABKM) meeting of Rashtriya Swayamsevaks Sangh (RSS) began at Keshav Srishti on October 31 with the Sarsanghachalak Shri Mohan Bhagwat and Sarkaryavah Shri Bhaiyaji Joshi paying floral tribute to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and Bharat Mata. About 350 national, zonal and state level Sangh adhikaris are participating in the meeting.

RSS Akhil Bharatiya Prachar Pramukh Shri Arun Kumar and Sah Prachar Pramukh Shri Narendra Thakur were also present. The meeting would conclude on November 2.

Briefing the media persons RSS Sahsarkaryavah Dr Manmohan Vaidya pointed out that more than 55,000 Sangh Shakhas are conducted every day from Leh Ladakh to Tripura and Andamans. The Sangh work has spread in 850 districts and 6000 Tehsils (in RSS parlance). Also Sangh Shakhas are organised in 90 per cent tehsils everyday. The Sangh has constituted a Mandal comprising 10 to 12 villages and all the villages have been divided into 56,000 Mandals. Today the Sangh work has spread in 58 per cent of the Mandals. He said during the last three years there is five per cent increase in the Sangh work in Mandals and three per cent in daily Shakhas. He said more than 31,000 Shakhas are held every day and 82 per cent of them are held in rural areas, while 12 per cent are held in urban areas.

He said the ABKM would discuss the issues of environment and water conservation and how the swayamsevaks can move forward in this regard by taking the society together. He pointed out that a good picture of change can be witnessed in 600 villages of the country thanks to the tireless efforts of the Sangh swayamsevaks. He also pointed out that 1500 new gaushalas have begun in various parts of the country since 2010. There is good progress in the activities of Kutumba Prabodhan work. He said though the Sangh swayamsevaks are always in forefront during any calamity, a discussion would be held on how to impart proper training of disaster management to the swayamsevaks.

Earlier on October 29, RSS Akhil Bharatiya Prachar Pramukh Shri Arun Kumar, while briefing the media persons said that a grand Sri Ram Temple in Ayodhya was the only solution to ensure peace and harmony in the society. Answering the queries of media persons he said the Allahabad High Court had already accepted that the place in Ayodhya where the disputed structure was constructed was the place of the temple where Prabhu Sri Ram was born. All archaeological excavations and evidences have also proved that there was a temple structure existing there.

He said: “The RSS believes that a grand Shri Ram Temple should be constructed there and the land should be handed over to Shri Ramjanmabhoomi Trust for rebuilding the temple. This will generate an atmosphere of goodwill and harmony in the country. The Supreme Court should decide the matter at the earliest. And if there is any problem the government should clear all the hurdles blocking the way of building the Mandir by enacting a law. The movement for the temple is going on since beginning under the direction of senior saints and the Dharma Sansad. And the RSS has supported that. The Sangh will also support any further decision taken by the Dharmacharyas in this regard.”
