Kolkata: RSS Sahsarkaryavah Dr Manmohan Vaidya interacted with the people from various walks of life including mediamen, teachers, scientists, social workers etc on the Vijayadashami speech of the RSS Sarsanghachalak Shri Mohan Bhagwat delivered on October 18 at Nagpur.

Dr Manmohan Vaidya

Dr Vaidya explained in details the salient features of the speech including national security, need for reforms at family level by inculcating values, elections, Shri Ramjanmabhoomi, etc. Answering a query why the RSS was taking opposite stand on the Supreme Court verdicts on triple talaq and Sabarimala, he said the triple talaq verdict was in response to the petitions filed by a large number of Muslim women organisations demanding abolition of the practice. In case of the Sabarimala, there was no such thing. No Hindu women organisation had approached the court for abolition of the present restrictions with regard to entry of the women. On the questions of NRC and Rohingyas, he said the country would pay a heavy price unless the people particularly those located in the border areas realise the need for early implementation of the NRC. He urged the Muslims to rise above the religion and realise the danger of law and order and threat to the national security to be posed
by Rohingyas.
