THE National Executive Council of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad decided to accelerate the agitation against corruption. The Council announced to conduct mass agitation on July 27 and claimed that over 10 lakh students will be in the streets on that day. Prior to it, the ABVP would conduct a month long awareness drive beginning from June 26, the day Emergency was imposed in the country.

The meeting, organised at Vatsalya Gram in Vrindavan from May 26 to 29, also declared that the ABVP youth would make the agitation more effective by giving a call Bhrastachariyon Gaddi Chhodo from August 9. Similarly, on August 15, the ABVP would conduct Tiranga Yatra all over the country and would pledge to liberate the country from corruption. The meeting also adopted four resolutions.
