SANGH Shiksha Varg, the annual summer training camp for select RSS swayamsevaks, was held in Karnataka from mid April to first week of May.

In Sothern Karnataka, this 20 day camp was held from April 15 to May 6 at Janseva Vidyakendra, 20km away from Bengaluru, while the Camp in North Karnataka was held from April 18 to May 9 at Rashtrotthana Vidyakendra at Hagaribommanahalli.

It was an inspiring evening at Channenahalli on May 6 when the valedictory ceremony of the Sangh Shiksha Varg was held at the premises of Janseva Vidya Kendra Channenahalli.

Presiding over the event, Shri Paras Jain, managing director of Adishwar Marketing Limited opined that ‘RSS is capable of transforming a common person to a complete man, with creative skills and can make him a responsible, potential individual who will be ready to accept all challenges for the society. If such individuals work in all walks of social life, we can get rid of all social evils and we will be able to face the challenges of the nation”.

Adressing the gathering Sri Pattabhi Ram, RSS Prant Sahasampark Pramukh highlighted the need of Sangh training in the 20-day long residential training camp, for the swayamsevaks which they joined for. “RSS involved in man-making mission, succeeded in its 8 decades of long effort, still continuing to work for the society through the dedicated and committed, selfless swayamsevaks. By uniting the Hindu society in each aspect RSS wishes to build a strong and prosperous India free from all social ailments like social unequality, poverty etc.”

The valedictory function of Sangh Shiksha Varg at Hagaribommanahalli of North Karnataka was presided over by industrialist Shri Vivek Pawar. Shri Ravindra, Prant Sahbouddhik Pramukh delivered the valedictory speech.

The attractive demonstration of physical exercise including niyuddha, a form of weaponless fight resembling Karate, Yogasana, domestic games were performed by the swayamsevaks who participated in the 20-day long camp.

First Year Sangh Shiksha Varg had 645 swayamsevaks from South Karnataka and 353 from North Karnataka.

Second Year Sangh Shiksha Varg (combined) had 186 swayamesevaks.

The Prathamik Shiksha Varg had 180 swayamesevaks from South Karnataka and 129 from North Karnataka.

Praudha Sangh Shiksha Varg aged beyond 45 (combined) had 33 swayamesevaks.

A total of 1526 swayamsevaks from Karnataka took training in these residential camps, in which individuals from all walks of life, farmers, teachers, students, software professionals, businessmen and other self-employed participated. Resource persons including Pejawar seer Sri Vishweshwar Teertha Swamiji, noted thinker, writer Shatavadhani Dr R Ganesh and several others visited the camp and encouraged the swayamsevaks.

RSS Sarasanghachalak Shri Mohan Bhagwat visited the Varg at Hagaribommanahalli on April 26. He stayed in the camp for five days and guided the swayamsevaks who were undergoing training.

Sangh Shiksha Varg, also known as Officers Training Camp (OTC), is a residential camp for 20 days. Sangh Shiksha Varg provides a higher exposure for all swayamsevaks to understand the organisational works and makes an individual to work for a social cause. Through physical exercises, debates, lectures, discussions and multiple learning sessions, Sangh Shiksha Varg proves to be one of the best residential camps by a social organisation.
