NATIONAL Executive meeting of the Vidya Bharati was held at Nabha in Punjab from September 22 to 24. A total of 149 delegates from different parts of the country participated in the meeting. Speaking at the inaugural session national organising secretary Shri Prakash Chand said the work of the Vidya Bharati has spread in far and remote areas and now there is a need to focus on quality of the work. He also stressed the need to bring new people to the organisational fold. He said the duty of national level workers is not just to lead the workers and deliver speeches, they should practically show concrete change in their respective fields.
Addressing the workers, the RSS Sahsarkaryavah Shri Suresh Soni said today there is sharp decline in faith, values of life, social system, family bond and mutual trust and there is also the situation of social division. Not only the Executive and Legislature but the Judiciary also appears to be in the grip of corruption. There is a need to take some concrete steps to combat population imbalance, environmental degradation, unsafe borders and threats of terrorism and conversion. He said removing the challenges in the field of education should be the foundation of our work. He also said that our knowledge should not remain only in books but should be seen in the practical life of both teachers and students. He said we should move with the changing time but there should be no deviation from the original path. All the senior leaders of Vidya Bharati were present at the meeting.
