Telangana BJP State President N Ramchander Rao on September 26 hit back at Chief Minister Revanth Reddy over his ‘Gandhi Pariwar vs. Sangh Pariwar’ remark, saying the statement exposes the fundamental difference between the Congress and BJP, where “family is first” for the Congress while “nation is first” for the BJP.
N Ramchander Rao, who is on an Australia tour, said in a statement that Revanth Reddy’s statement itself clearly demonstrates to the public the difference between the family-centric, selfish politics run by Congress and the selfless patriotism practised by the Sangh Pariwar.
“For the Congress Party, politics begins with a single family. But for us, national interest is always paramount, far above any single individual or family,” Rao asserted. He questioned whether it was not Congress that imposed the Emergency on the nation, stifled the voice of the people, and murdered democracy. The bloody history of thousands of innocent Sikhs being massacred in the heart of the national capital in 1984 also happened under Congress rule.
Speaking at an event in Nilambur, Kerala, Telangana CM Revanth Reddy explicitly aligned his entire political existence with the dynastic ambitions of the Congress party.
“Gandhi Parivar stands for sacrifice. Mahatma Gandhi, Indira Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi gave up their lives for the country. Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi sacrificed post, power and position,” he said.
“The fight for India is between two parivars,” Reddy added.
Reddy claimed he had no personal political goals left after two decades in public life, framing his allegiance to the Gandhi hierarchy as the ultimate political objective:
“My only dream left is to make Rahul Gandhi the Prime Minister of India,” the Chief Minister said.
Countering CM Revant Reddy, the BJP state chief said the Sangh Pariwar does not run on anyone’s surname or a single family’s legacy. It is an organisation built on the sacrifices of generations of party workers who, without expecting any posts or fame, dedicated their lives solely to social service, nation-building and discipline.
“The Congress wants national politics to always revolve around the ‘Gandhi Family.’ But we strongly believe that Indian politics should revolve only around the self-respect of 1.4 billion citizens and the national interest of India,” Rao said.

He said Revanth Reddy may go to any length to prove his slavery by bowing at the feet of the Gandhi family in Delhi. But the people of Telangana do not want family rule and they want public welfare.
Telangana BJP State Chief Official Spokesperson and Media In-Charge N V Subhash today alleged that CM Revanth Reddy was given the “election fund gift” award in Keralam by Congress.
Speaking at a press conference in Hyderabad, Subhash stated that it was laughable for Revanth Reddy to receive the “Aryadan Muhammad Memorial Best Public Servant 2026” award in Keralam at the hands of his own party leaders.
He emphasised that this award was not earned through public appreciation, but was rather an “Election Fund Gift” facilitated by the Gandhi family and KC Venugopal in exchange for transferring Telangana taxpayers’ money to Kerala election funds.
He ridiculed Congress leaders for celebrating the fake award given to Revanth Reddy in Keralam as if it were a Nobel Prize or an Oscar. He recalled that Revanth Reddy has a history of mortgaging Telangana’s self-respect at the feet of Delhi—citing past instances such as returning from Harvard University with a one-week paid course certificate or comparing a letter written by Sonia Gandhi to an Oscar award.

Subhash noted that netizens and intellectuals are calling Revanth’s recognition a ‘Commission Award’, ‘Real Estate Broker Award’, ‘Vote-for-Note Award’ and ‘Best Manipulator Award’, warning his advisors to give proper counsel instead of engaging in such degraded talk.
He pointed out that while Mahatma Gandhi’s true descendants like Gopalakrishna Gandhi and Rajmohan Gandhi live as ordinary citizens, this fake family uses the Gandhi name as a corporate trademark.
He further condemned Congress for insulting and forgetting stalwarts like PV Narasimha Rao, Sitaram Kesri and Kamalapati Tripathi, stating that Revanth Reddy represents a culture of servitude centred around a single family.
Subhash asserted that the Congress party lacks the standing to talk about the history of the Sangh Parivar. He cited historical evidence, reminding that in December 1934 at Sevagram Ashram in Wardha, Mahatma Gandhi personally praised the discipline and non-untouchability principles of 1,500 RSS volunteers, meeting the very next day with RSS founder Dr Keshav Baliram Hedgewar to discuss the freedom struggle.
He noted that Mahatma Gandhi attended an RSS meeting at Valmiki Basti in Delhi on September 16, 1947, and Jawaharlal Nehru personally invited the RSS to the 1963 Republic Day Parade in recognition of its selfless service during the 1962 China War. Even former President Pranab Mukherjee visited the Sangh headquarters in Nagpur and praised its work.
He contrasted this by stating that during natural disasters in Wayanad—represented by Priyanka Gandhi—she visited only twice, whereas Sangh volunteers risked their lives on the ground to assist victims. He added that Rahul Gandhi, who was expected to become Prime Minister between 2004 and 2024, has failed to mature even at age 57, will never become Prime Minister, and that Congress coming to power is out of the question.
Subhash criticised Revanth Reddy for travelling to neighbouring states while failing to govern Telangana.
