NEW DELHI: An ABVP worker was subjected to a life-threatening attack outside LC-1 on the Delhi University campus by workers associated with Congress-IYC-NSUI. Resorting to violence to disturb the peaceful campus environment, particularly when student support for campaigning is lacking, is highly shameful and condemnable. ABVP strongly condemns the incident.

The ABVP Delhi State Secretary Sarthak Sharma said, “The life-threatening attack on an ABVP worker is highly condemnable. When NSUI is unable to mobilise its own workers, it is using Congress, IYC and Seva Dal workers to disturb the campus environment. Their sensitivity seems limited to making reels, while attacks are being carried out to intimidate ABVP workers. There is no place for violence or disorder on the campus. We demand immediate and strict action against those responsible and full security for students. With Congress facing defeat, it is resorting to violence out of frustration. Delhi University students will give a befitting response.”
