Guwahati: Love Jihad case rocks Biswanat Chariali district in North Assam. Muslim man posing as Hindu abducted a minor Hindu girl and raped her for 4 days. Angry locals set ablaze accused house in Kumaliya area of the district. The accused has been identified as Noor Hussain.

As per report, the 17 years old minor Hindu girl belonging to Nepali community was kidnapped four days ago. The accused introduced himself as Rahul in 2025 and built a relationship with the minor girl. Accused Noor was working as a masonry in the village and he proposed to the girl posing as Hindu boy Rahul. “They were in touch for a year, but later she came to know about Noor Hussain’s original identity and she refused to talk with him”, said a local boy.

But on July 17 the minor girl went missing. Her parents lodged an FIR in the Biswanat police station. Police were investigating the matter and simultaneously her family and relatives were also searching for her.

On July 21 Noor Hussain made a visit to the village to sense the situation. Locals questioned him on suspicion but he refused it and tried to escape the spot. Some boys followed him to his house. When they entered his house, the victim was found there in poor condition. She was raped and tortured for four days by the accused Noor. Police were immediately informed and the victim, a minor girl, was rescued by the police. Love Jihadi Noor Hussain was also arrested by the Biswanath police. It was learnt that after her refusal, accused Noor called her to meet for the final time in an isolated place behind the village. The accused abducted the minor Hindu girl from the spot and took her to his house. She was raped and brutally tortured for four day by the Love Jihadi.

A case has been registered under POCSO Act and under various sections of BNS.

After the minor Hindu girl’s rescue and accused Noor Hussain’s arrest, locals gathered there and set the accused house on fire. A police team and a fire fighters team reached the spot and controlled the situation.

Local Hindu organisations are demanding a thorough investigation of the incident and exemplary punishment of the accused. This is not the single incident of Love Jihad in the districts. Several incidents of such manner happened earlier also, so the Hindu organisations are demanding a tough implementation of law against such criminals.
