NEW DELHI: As part of the Centenary Year of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), Vidya Bharati Delhi Prant, through its Seva Shiksha Vibhag, inaugurated the Mata Revati Bai Sanskar Kendra on July 14. The Sanskar Kendra has been established by Saraswati Bal Mandir, Rajouri Garden at Narendra Nath Memorial Trust, Chaupal, near TC Camp, Shyam Nagar, Delhi, in a dignified and inspiring ceremony.

The Sanskar Kendra has been named in honour of Mata Revati Bai, the revered mother of Dr Keshav Baliram Hedgewar, the founder of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh.

The programme commenced with Deep Prajwalan and Saraswati Vandana by Shri Anil Gupta, Prant Karyavah, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh. Vinay Gupta, Sanyojak, Kutumb Prabodhan Activity, Delhi Prant, and Shri Purushottam Ji, President of the Narendra Nath Memorial Trust, graced the occasion as distinguished guests.

Addressing the gathering, Shri Anil Gupta said that Sanskar Kendras are not merely centres of education but institutions dedicated to nurturing children with Bharatiya culture, moral values, patriotism, and social harmony. Emphasising the spiritual and cultural significance of ‘Om’, he remarked that children imbued with noble values become the foundation of a strong society and a prosperous nation. He also shared that he is an alumnus of Vidya Bharati and recalled inspiring experiences from his student life.

Narendra Dutt, Prant Sanyojak, informed that this is the 6th Sanskar Kendra established by Saraswati Bal Mandir, Rajouri Garden, the 29th in the Paschimi Vibhag, and the 122nd Sanskar Kendra of Vidya Bharati Delhi Prant. He highlighted that these centres aim to instil Bharatiya cultural values, patriotism, social harmony, and character-building among children. On the occasion, a Bal Pustakalaya (Children’s Library) and Swadhyaya Yojana (Self-Study Initiative) were also inaugurated, and students were presented with attractive gifts.

Students of the Sanskar Kendra captivated the audience with presentations of patriotic songs, Sanskar Geet, and poetry, reflecting confidence, discipline, and cultural values.

Among those present were Geeta Ahuja, Kshetriya Seva Prabhari & Vibhag Adhyaksha; Vinod Sharma, Prant Seva Shiksha Pramukh; Dr Shailesh Bhardwaj, Prant Prachar Pramukh; along with several eminent citizens.

The programme was conducted by Shri Omsharan Shrivastava, Prant Seva Shiksha Prabhari, who also delivered the vote of thanks. The ceremony concluded with the rendition of the Rashtra Geet.

The successful organisation of the programme was made possible through the dedicated efforts of Shri Vijay Kumar Gupta (Paschimi Vibhag Mantri), Smt. Garima Gupta (Member, Vibhag Seva Shiksha Samiti), Shri Dinesh Agrawal (Manager, Saraswati Bal Mandir, Rajouri Garden), Smt. Bela Mishra (Principal), and Shri Binod Chaudhary (Vice Principal).
