Nashik: In a significant development in the high-profile Nashik TCS corporate Jihad case, prime accused Nida Khan was remanded to 14-day judicial custody on May 11 by the Nashik Road Court after her police custody ended. She has been lodged in Nashik Road Central Jail.
Khan had been absconding for 42 days since being named in the first FIR registered on March 26, 2026, at Deolali Camp Police Station. The case initially involved allegations of sexual harassment and hurting religious sentiments, but has since expanded, with multiple FIRs filed by employees.

So far, nine TCS employees (eight women and one man) have filed complaints against senior staff and an HR official, alleging harassment, coercion, and workplace misconduct.
Khan was arrested from Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar on Friday evening in a joint, discreet operation by the Nashik Police and the Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar Police, carried out in accordance with due protocol.
Serious Charges and Expanding Probe
The case now includes grave allegations such as sexual harassment, coercion, stalking, and forced religious conversion. Charges have been invoked under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, including Section 69 (rape), Section 75 (sexual harassment), and Section 78 (stalking).

Other accused named in the FIRs include Danish Shaikh, Tausif Attar, Raza Memon, Shahrukh Qureshi, Shafi Sheikh, and Asif Ansari. The role of HR official Ashwini Chainani is also under scrutiny.
Complainants have alleged a “toxic work culture” at the Nashik office, claiming that female employees were harassed under the pretext of religious conversion, shamed about their Hindu faith, and pressured into practices pertaining to Islam against their will.
Political Fallout Intensifies
The case has triggered political ripples in Maharashtra. Calls are growing for action against AIMIM corporator Abdul Mateen Patel from Ward No. 9 in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, who has been detained for allegedly sheltering Khan during her period of absconding.
Authorities have reportedly initiated proceedings to examine Patel’s eligibility as a corporator, particularly over allegations that the property where Khan was found was not disclosed in his election affidavit, potentially violating provisions under Maharashtra municipal laws.
How Police Tracked Down the Hideout
Investigators traced Khan’s location through a combination of CCTV leads and technical surveillance. Earlier footage had shown her with her aunt in Mumbra (Mumbai), a detail later corroborated by her husband.
Police placed the aunt’s phone under surveillance, which revealed contact with corporator Patel. This link prompted a covert operation led by Nashik Police, in coordination with local authorities in Sambhajinagar.
To avoid tipping off suspects, police summoned multiple corporators under the pretext of a routine security audit. Patel was questioned separately, and upon being confronted with call records, he allegedly disclosed the location where Khan was hiding.
A plainclothes team subsequently moved in and took Khan into custody without alerting others at the location.
Fresh Controversy Around Corporator
Separately, a purported video allegedly showing Patel in a compromising video call with a woman has surfaced online, triggering public outrage. The authenticity of the video has not been independently verified.
With his phone already under examination by investigators and political pressure mounting, Patel is likely to remain at the centre of the unfolding controversy.
