RSS Akhil Bharatiya Karyakarini Sadasya Bhaiyyaji Joshi (Suresh Joshi Ji), stated that the goal put forward by the Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh (BMS) is to make Bharat strong and prosperous by ensuring the well-being and welfare of all people. He was speaking after inaugurating the ‘Dattopant Thengadi Bhavan’, constructed by the BMS Kozhikode District Committee.

BMS does not differentiate between the employer and the employee in the labour sector but considers them one family. BMS did not lead on a path of conflict by viewing the employer as an enemy. Instead, it promoted patriotism and ideas for national progress among the labour community. BMS has worked with the aim of ensuring the goodness and upliftment of those at the grassroots level. It is rooted in the noble thought that the whole world is one family. Beyond the language of rights, BMS emphasized the importance of fulfilling one’s duties. Today, this concept has gained universal acceptance, and the vision of harmony is receiving respect and consideration.

He noted that although Communist labour organizations and the BMS started around the same time, the BMS has been able to spread and flourish among the working class, while the Communist movement and its ideology have faded.

A.K.B. Nair, Chairman of the Office Construction Committee and spiritual orator, delivered the introductory speech. BMS National President S. Mallesham delivered the keynote address. He remarked that it is a matter of pride that Thengadi Bhavan was built using money from the sweat and wages of workers.

Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh has become the largest labour movement in the world. The 70-year organizational journey of BMS is commendable. Organizations like AITUC, INTUC, CITU, and HMS have become divided by acting against the interests of workers. The idea of “Workers of the world, unite” has proven impractical. The concept of “Workers, unite the world” is what holds eternal relevance. Today, recognition is being given to the idea of “Workers, unite the world” based on the vision of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam (The world is one family).

Bharat is a land of workers. The labour community should work keeping the national interest in mind. Western ideologies put forward the concept of conflict, but those perspectives no longer hold ground. BMS moves forward based on the ideas of “Nationalist Worker”, “Labourised Industry” and “Industrialised Nation”, he said.

RSS North Kerala Prant Sanghachalak Adv. K.K. Balaram, former BMS National President Adv. C.K. Saji Narayanan, former State Organizing Secretary K. Gangadharan, BMS State President Shivaji Sudarshan, South Kshetra Organizing Secretary M.P. Rajeevan, T.M. Prashanth, and A. Saseendran participated.
