The constituency-wise margin analysis of the Tamil Nadu Assembly Elections results 2026 highlights that 61 out of 234 seats were decided by margins below 5,000 votes, marking them as the most competitive segments of the election.

Within this, 15 constituencies recorded razor-thin victories under 1,000 votes, while 46 constituencies fell in the 1,000–5,000 range.

These tightly contested seats saw direct and triangular contests largely between Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK), and All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam(ADMK), with selective presence of Congress, PMK, and VCK in a few constituencies.

Beyond these, 43 constituencies recorded margins between 5,000 and 10,000 votes.

A significant portion of the results came from higher-margin categories, with 67 seats decided by margins between 10,000 and 20,000 votes, and 63 constituencies witnessing landslide victories exceeding 20,000 votes.

Overall, the data shows that 130 out of 234 seats were won with margins above 10,000 votes.
