Chennai: The famous Tirupparankundram Murugan Mandir, located near Madurai in Tamil Nadu, is one of the six abodes of Murugan. Devotees revere Bhgwan Subramaniam (Murugan) as the supreme commander of the divine army.
Chief Minister MK Stalin strongly opposed the decision of the Madras High Court permitting Hindus to lighting of lamps at Tirupparankundram. He even stopped devotees who attempted to light the Karthigai Deepam, deploying policemen to prevent the act, which further escalated tensions. The Hindu Munnani organised the Muruga Sammelan in Tirupparankundram, where lakhs of people gathered to protect their beliefs. The Sammelan was also conducted to restore Bhagwan Muruga’s rights at a time when certain movements claimed that the Tirupparankundram hill does not belong to Muruga, but to a Muslim saint, Sikandar.
Following this, a Hindu conference held in Tiruvannamalai declared that only those who accept and promise to fulfil the demands of the majority Hindus would receive votes in the coming elections. Today, it is claimed that the Tamil people have acted upon that declaration.
Stalin, who had set out to eradicate Sanatana Dharma, has been removed from power by believers, according to this narrative. This moment is described as a phase of struggle for the leader of the ‘Devasena’ and for Hindu believers.
