UP Board 10th,12th Results 2026 Out: Over 43 lakh students appeared; Know the toppers

Lucknow:  The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) on April 23 announced the results for the High School (Class 10) and Intermediate (Class 12) examinations for the academic year 2026. This year, the High School recorded a pass percentage of 90.42%, while the Intermediate results stood at 80.38 per cent.

UP Board 2026 Toppers

In the High School examination, Kashish Verma from Sitapur and Anshika Verma from Barabanki jointly secured the top position with 97.83 per cent marks.

In the Intermediate examination, Shikha Verma from Sitapur emerged as the topper with 97.60 per cent marks.

Girls Outperform Boys Again

Continuing the trend of previous years, girls outperformed boys in both categories:

High School: Girls pass percentage: 93.76 per cent
Boys pass percentage: 87.30 per cent

Intermediate: Girls pass percentage: 86.32 per cent
Boys pass percentage: 75.04 per cent

The margin highlights a significant academic edge maintained by female students.

Massive Participation, Good Results

High School

  • Total candidates: 26,01,381
  • Passed: 23,52,181

Intermediate

  • Total candidates: 24,86,072
  • Passed: 19,98,317

Smooth, Transparent Examination Process

The examinations were conducted between February 18 and March 12, 2026, across 8,033 centers in just 15 working days.

Evaluation of answer sheets was completed between March 18 and April 4 at 254 centers, involving:

  • 96,803 examiners for High School
  • 55,973 examiners for Intermediate

Authorities emphasised that the entire process was cheating-free and transparent, aligning with the state government’s focus on fair examination practices.

Practical Exams and Additional Details

Intermediate practical exams were conducted in two phases from January 24 to February 9, 2026, under the supervision of 18,007 examiners.

Additionally, thousands of students appeared for partial subject examinations in both classes.

UP Board 2026 Intermediate Toppers List

1st: Shikha Verma – 97.60 per cent (Sitapur)
2nd: Nandini Gupta, Shriya Verma – 97.20 per cent
3rd: Surbhi Yadav, Pooja Pal – 97.00 per cent

UP Board 2026 High School Toppers List

1st (Joint): Kashish Verma, Anshika Verma – 97.83 per cent
2nd: Aditi – 97.50 per cent
3rd (Joint): Arpita, Rishabh Sahu, Pari Verma – 97.33 per cent

The UP Board Results 2026 reflect not only strong academic performance but also the success of streamlined examination reforms. With girls continuing to lead and smaller districts producing top achievers, the results underline a positive shift in the state’s educational landscape.
