SHIMLA: “The work of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh continues with the aim of organising, empowering, and strengthening Hindu society. This journey is not merely organisational but a broader national movement to build a harmonious, capable, and strong India”, said RSS Sah-Sarkaryavah Arun Kumar while addressing a seminar organised by RSS-unit of Shimla at Hotel Landmark auditorium.

In his address, he stated that the Sangh has completed 100 years of its glorious journey. Guided by service, dedication, and nation-building, it has contributed across all spheres of social life. He recalled that freedom fighter and founder Keshav Baliram Hedgewar established the RSS on Vijayadashami in 1925 with the vision of building a free, strong, and united India.

He emphasised that through its daily shakha, the Sangh is shaping individuals imbued with patriotism and social responsibility. Equal focus is given to personal and national character-building, with organisation, collective effort, and inclusivity essential for societal progress.

He further noted that the Sangh works to eliminate all forms of discrimination and brings together every section of society. It is not just an organisation but a national movement and a way of life.

Highlighting India’s rising global stature, he said the country is emerging as a leading nation, offering direction to the world. The Sangh’s goal remains to build a harmonious, capable, and powerful Bharat.

During the interactive session, questions were raised on social, economic, and political issues, service activities, education policy, values, and women’s participation in the Sangh, which were addressed in detail.

He informed that currently over one lakh service projects are being carried out nationwide, with shakhas and Sangh mandalis operating at more than one lakh locations. Swayamsevaks are actively contributing across diverse fields of society.

The programme was attended by several dignitaries, including Prant Sanghchalak Dr Veer Singh Rangra, Vibhag Sanghchalak Rajkumar Verma, Zila Sanghchalak Ajay Sood, Sah-Kshetra Karyavah Dr Kismat Kumar, Prant Pracharak Sanjay Kumar, and Prant Karyavahika Dr Mukta Thakur, along with retired army officers, former judges, administrators, academicians, traders, advocates, sportspersons, journalists, and other eminent citizens. The event concluded with the National Anthem.
