An international academic conference on Ekatma Manava Darshan is being held from March 25 to 27 at Karnataka State Open University, Mysuru, bringing together scholars and experts from across India. Mysuru: An international academic conference on Ekatma Manava Darshan is set to be held from March 25 to March 27 at the Convocation Hall of Karnataka State Open University (KSOU), Mysuru. The event is being organised in collaboration with Prajna Pravah, Karnataka, and the Dr. Syama Prasad Mookerjee Research Foundation.

Amid reports of cancellation by the Karnataka government over the academic conference, a member of the organising committee, speaking to Organiser Weekly, stated that the event will proceed as scheduled. He emphasised that the conference is purely academic in nature, with discussions centred on the political thought embedded in Indian philosophy, history, and ethos, as articulated by Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya, former president of the Bharatiya Jana Sangh.

The conference will focus on Ekatma Manava Darshan, a philosophy rooted in Indian thought, spirituality, and sociology, which emphasises balance and harmony between the individual, society, and nature.

As per reports, the Ekatma Manava Darshan Conference has recorded a total of 650 registrations, with participation from six states and representation from 30 universities and institutions. A total of 178 research papers have been submitted for presentation at the conference.

The event is expected to bring together Vice-Chancellors, Registrars, professors, research scholars, and experts in social and political sciences from universities across India.

The inaugural session on March 25 will be presided over by the Governor of Karnataka and Chancellor of State Universities, Shri Thaawar Chand Gehlot, in the presence of Jagadguru Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Mahaswamiji of Sutturu Math.

Union Minister of Education Dharmendra Pradhan will deliver a special lecture on March 26. The valedictory session on March 27 will feature Prof. Santishree Dhulipudi Pandit, Vice-Chancellor of Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), as the Chief Guest.

The conference will also provide a platform for presentation of research papers. In addition, a special exhibition highlighting India’s heritage and achievements will be inaugurated by noted sculptor Arun Yogiraj and will remain open throughout the three-day event.

As part of the conference, organisers have outlined a set of key objectives aimed at deepening academic engagement with Ekatma Manava Darshan. The discussions will seek to revisit the core philosophy and examine its relevance in the 21st century, while exploring how Bharatiya thought can address contemporary social, economic, political, and technological challenges.

The conference will also present Ekatma Manava Darshan as a development model, positioning it in comparison with materialist and socialist frameworks such as the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Further, it aims to encourage interdisciplinary academic dialogue and promote research rooted in Hindu civilisational wisdom.

Organisers added that the initiative is purely academic in nature and invited academicians, policy experts, students, cultural thinkers, to inspire policymakers, scholars, and students to integrate Dharma-based thinking into governance, education, and broader societal development.
