Kumbh Mela Fame Monalisa Is 17: Kerala Minister, MP, CPM Secy & Left Govt Facilitated Child Marriage? FIR Registered

After felicitating Monalisa’s marriage with Farman Khan, Kerala MP A.A. Rahim, Minister V. Sivankutty, and CPM Secretary M.V. Govindan had stated that Kerala is a place where such marriages are celebrated. However, with Monalisa’s birth certificate now coming to light, serious concerns have been raised. The involvement of public representatives, including a parliamentarian, risks sending a troubling message that the state is endorsing or normalising child marriage. The VHP has filed a complaint with the DGP, claiming that Monalisa celebrated her 16th birthday on January 21, 2025. Madhya Pradesh Police has reportedly registered an FIR. If these claims are proven true, it would imply that public representatives facilitated a child marriage—an act that is against Indian law—and those involved could face serious legal consequences

Monalisa Farman Khan Marriage: A controversy has broken out around Monalisa Bhosale, who became widely known during the Maha Kumbh, after questions were raised about her age following her sudden marriage to Farman Khan. What started as her rapid rise to public attention has now turned into a serious legal issue.

While her husband has claimed that she is 18 and that the marriage is valid, her family has alleged that she is still a minor. The Vishwa Hindu Parishad has also released a birth certificate stating that she is only 17. Following these claims, an FIR has reportedly been registered in Madhya Pradesh, bringing the matter under legal scrutiny.

The document, said to have been issued by the Government of Madhya Pradesh, was released by the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP). The marriage between Monalisa, a native of Indore, and Farman Khan took place on March 11 at the Arumanur Nainar Deva Temple in Thiruvananthapuram. Several prominent leaders, including M.V. Govindan, V. Sivankutty, and A.A. Rahim, attended the ceremony.

Kumbh Mela Fame Monalisa Bhosle is 17yrs

“While some social media accounts affiliated with the Left have shared a birth certificate indicating that the individual is 18, we have obtained an official birth certificate from Mandaleshwar, Madhya Pradesh. This document reportedly shows a birth date of December 30, 2009. According to this calculation, and as stated by Monalisa’s parents, she is just 17. This suggests that Kerala Education Minister V. Sivankutty, Rajya Sabha MP A.A. Rahim, and CPM State Secretary M.V. Govindan facilitated and promoted a child marriage. An FIR has been registered in Madhya Pradesh,” said VHP General Secretary Anil Vilayil.

“This is the real Kerala story”- Kerala Minister V. Sivankutty, MP AA Rahim, State Secretary MV Govindan Attended Marriage

Among those associated with the ceremony are Kerala Education Minister V. Sivankutty, and Rajya Sabha MP A.A. Rahim. CPM State Secretary MV Govindan also attended the marriage.  Now, the presence and alleged role of these leaders in the wedding could place them in serious legal and political trouble.

“This is the real Kerala story, where people from different backgrounds can live happily and peacefully,” Kerala Education Minister V. Sivankutty, who hails from the locality near the temple, said.

However, some CPM leaders believe that the decision by the party’s state secretary, the minister, and the MP to witness Monalisa’s wedding was immature and taken without adequate caution.

Child Marriage- Is this the message sent by Parliamentarian and Minister?

After felicitating Monalisa’s marriage with Farman Khan, Kerala MP A.A. Rahim, Minister V. Sivankutty, and CPM Secretary M.V. Govindan had stated that Kerala is a place where such marriages are celebrated. However, with Monalisa’s birth certificate now coming to light, serious concerns have been raised. The involvement of public representatives, including a parliamentarian, risks sending a troubling message that the state is endorsing or normalising child marriage.

Madhya Pradesh Police has reportedly registered an FIR. If these claims are proven true, it would suggest that public representatives facilitated a child marriage—an act that is against Indian law—and those involved could face serious legal consequences.

FIR Registered on VHP Complaint

Earlier, VHP general secretary Anil Vilayil had filed a complaint with the DGP, claiming that Monalisa had celebrated her 16th birthday on January 21, 2025. However, during a press conference after the wedding, the couple denied allegations regarding her age. Police at Thampanoor also stated that the marriage decision was taken after confirming that she was 18.

According to the birth certificate that has now surfaced, her date of birth is recorded as December 30, 2009, at 5:30 PM. Based on this, her age would be 17 years, 2 months, and 12 days. Anil Vilayil said that VHP workers in Bhopal officially obtained and shared the document. He also stated that the certificate had the hospital’s name where Monalisa was born.
